Keranique online BS

The product seems to be poorly formulated and their customer service seems to be a front for a disingenuous operation. Please be aware, however, they seem to have a very active on-line (dis)information campaign. On many product review websites, they apparently have "seeded" reviews extolling the virtues of the product. They have also setup a few "product review" websites on free sites like Wordpress and Blogspot where they pretend to be impartial, but of course, are not. A quick Google search reveals their locations. BE AWARE OF DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE AND DO NOT BELIEVE ANY POSITIVE STATEMENT READ ONLINE BECAUSE IT PROBABLY COMES FROM THEM.

Thanks for the honest comments...we all know the saying if it' s too good to be true... I definitely won't call for a free trail..thanks everyone!

I'm so sorry I ever fell for this scary scam! I can't even go out of the house with sores on my scalp and face!

Guest

:( I'm so pissed off from using this product twice in 3 weeks! I had a nice thin head of hair thinking tghis product would thicken it a little andnow I can't go out because I'm losing my hair and i've only been useing it twice in 2 weeks!

I was so scared I've made a Dermotoligist Appt. People in really teeny print it says "If you don't have this in your family history DO NOT USE" Well It didn't say that in the info mercial! I'm so scared. My hair was alittle thin but now it like a baby's head of hair.

Anyone else? I also have these sores from itchiness, I mean come on!

I called to order this product, and during the recording I decided not to purchase it (because I caught on to the fact that I would be charged as it was a free trial not just free) so I hung up. This was a few days ago, and I have been called twice by this company since then.

The first time I politely said that I wasn't interested and to please remove me from the contact list. The woman tried to keep me on the phone, and I finally had to hang upon her. I was called again today, and the man got very belligerent with me, and kept asking why I did not want the product. I, in turn became very angry, and told him that I did not have to give an explanation, and that he had best remove me from the call list, or I would report them.

He then proceeded to hang up and call me back, and hang up and call me back, not once but like ten times!! I have never been so furious in my life!

These people are nuts! - beware!

False Advertisement- Free Trial Not Free

When I purchased the product they said it was only a 7.95 dollar funds with no additional charge; when I received the product it stated there were going to charge me 79.99 for the next item which I have not approved. I only brought the product to see if it really works and if it worked then I may see what my options were and speak on price terms. I said no to many other offers they were trying to sell me.I was not informed they were going to obligate me to purchase future items.Nov pu

:) I found my customer service representative Emily very professional, and in no way did she treat me like a dummy. I had to ask her to repeat and she did so with a professional attitude.

Thank you Emily

I just wanted to say I was thinking about ordering this product but as always I research my products because sometimes its to good to be true but after seeing cohena comment talking about people being dumb and she represents this company I would have nothing to do with them because this seems to be a very unproffessional company. How could this company hire people like these two people me and cohena its sad sounds like their crooks because only a crook would say if your dumb enough to buy thats so wrong I would never hire somebody that would be so disrespectful you should be a shame of yourshelves and be more professional!

Thanks for opening my eyes I wont be buying *** from keranique! And dont care what u have to say!

Guest

In regards to the angry Kearnique People. If your really that angry then ask to hear your recording of your order with the sales associate.

I guarentee you will find they suckered you! It is there job and they will tell you cause they did me, that "I know all you want is the free trial but it is my job to tell you all we have to offer so even though you do not want anything else I have to go through everything we have with you and it will only take a few minutes. If you change your mind let me know at the time I explain an offer to you." You can not fall for there extras while they are explaining there offers to you, you need to continue to say no thank you I just want the free trial and I only want the one fee of shipping and handling! And really, those of you who complained about the shipping and handling on the tv ad not mentioning the shipping and handling fee are either pure dumb or really nieve!

Come on, everyone knows nothing is really free in life some how some way we all pay a price wether money, sweat, or tears we all pay somehow!

Sometimes if we are lucky we may even come out on top and pay it forward!!!!! ;)

Guest

I, too, was misled by your advertisement, on TV and on the Net. The "sample" was going to cost me $119.00.

I fussed enough with the Customer Support that they cut it down to$59.95

cohena2, I think you are jumping to conclusions and are rude.

Each one of the many places I checked on the net and TV, like Good Morning America and The View, they endorsed the product very highly. Ordering on the net is "iffy" on any product.

Keranique made me lose hair instead

I purchase Keranique after seeing an infomercial that promised make me regrow hair. I wasn't losing hair, I just wanted to have a fuller set of hair, after pregnancy women tend to lose hair, I had a child 18 years ago, so long story short I order the product, not only they deceive you with the so called free trial, but on top of that after using the product 2 times my hair actually started falling...

it is terrible, I lose tons of hair everyday... this is outrageous !

I don't know what to do... do I have a case to sue them???

I am desperate!

The same happened to me. I bought this product, at first everything was alright.

I then started to notice chunks of hair coming out and my hair became thinner. I threw this out and immediately stopped using it.

Guest

OMG...I thought I was doing something wrong! My hair is very fine and after 3 uses, I now have a noticibly bald spot on my head!

I went through *** trying to cancel before the 30 day trial and was told it was done-canceled...never received any return info and than $79.95 hit my acct 3 more calls later and reporting them to the BBB I finally go a refund...but my hair...thank God my colorist knows how to cut my hair to cover this spot...I am now wearing more ball caps! What a rip off and false advertising! Maybe we could all start a Class Action Lawsuit to shut them down for good!

Or at least make them pay for the emotional distress it has caused us.. :(

Ovation binds and strengthens your hair. Mine stopped breaking and falling out soon after use. Expensive but works!

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-521916

I love Ovation. It does exactly what it claims it will do and having used it for more than a year, I can see no bad side effects. Sure, it's expensive, but so are wigs!

Guest

A lot of people probably purchased this product before doing a little reseach on the main ingredient Monoxidil which is also found in Rogaine. Any company selling a product containing Monoxidil should inform the consumer that some people will lose hair before they see any regrowth.

Guest

I'm so glad I found these comments before I fell prey to this! Thank you, I'm sad that anyone has to go through losing more hair to a product that is supposed to help, I hope that when you stopped using it your hair came back!

Guest

I thought it was just my imagination! I bought it too around the same time of your post. I've used it 2 maybe 3 times and i've noticed everytime i use it I seem to loose more hair then normal...I'm sending it back ASAP.

Guest

If you can prove that it was this product that cause it, then yes get your self a lawyer and sue for emotion distress, physical distress, defamation, as well as lying under false pretense in order to achieve financial or monetary gain! Good luck and I hope you win!!!

Yes, I've tried keranique and every hair strand upon my head has either grown *** or a ***. In fact, if you use this product and you don't rinse, you will fly high above, while people below will shout "look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, no, it's keranique". Yes, it's keranique. A mild mannered viagra shampoe, able to turn your hair strands into weapons of war. Keranique is widely used in the middle east, it's medicinal properties serve to reduce gas bloated camels from *** weapons of smelly destruction. Trust me, every rock star from Mars, uses this product.

So if we have already been charged $79.95 , and we send the whole kit back will it discontinue that fee ?

Guest

:eek

The customer service is "customer no service". When I called last night to cancel the auto delivery I was told that my account would be charged $79.95 twice.

I said for what and was told it was for the shampoo and conditioner. When I tried to reason with the "no service" guy, he got really rude and told me that I should have read the fine print. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he said that the supervisor could not do anything more than he could. I demanded to speak to a supervisor and after about 5 min I spoke to someone who identified himself as a "supervisor".

When I told him how rude the guy was he disagreed with me and said I must have been rude to him. When I mentioned that the product is priced outrageously, he said "WHATEVER". I asked "what did you say" and he repeated "WHATEVER".

I still cannot believe that their customer service is not service at all - just a way to manipulate and steal from folks. I really liked the product but will be sending it back because I refuse to do business with such rude, disrespectful and deceitful folks.

Guest

:cry :grin I'm not sure which to do: I've heard of so many scams like this one, you charge the persons acct. as soon as you get the info.

Then we are lucky if we ever get the charges reversed. why don't you try being an honest company; you might make some money, and not have all these complaints made against you.

Guest

no i actually do not work for the company seen an email that said risk free trial and went on the web site typed in my info and right in a box under the credit card info it say click here if you agree to the terms and conditions i read it clicked agree and i have been happy with them ever since

Guest

Clearly you must work for the company as their practices are without a doubt deceptive and you seem to be the only one who finds them worth defending.

Keranique...Total BS!

due to stress I've been loosing hair so after my daughter seen the infomercial on Keranique she convinced me to try the product. I ordered it a couple of weeks ago, used it 3 x's so far and I've noticed each time I use it I'm loosing more hair then normal (before I started using Kearnique). I'm calling them in the AM and sending it back to the company. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. I just pray to God that once I stop using Kearnique my hair will stop falling out..

Called for the free trial and agreed tl pay $7.95 but they charged my account $170. Customer service hung up on me the first time and second time told me I agreed to pay up front, which I did not.

Contacted my bank and I have to cancel my debit card to ensure no further charges. Beware of this company!

Guest

besides the re-ordering w/o authorization DOES THE PRODUCT WORK???

Guest

Try Nuhair.

I am a 54 year old female and I would guess that I have been loosing my hair for a little over 5 years due to stress and lupus, my hair was getting pretty thin all over the top of my head, so I started using NuHair Vitamins + DHT Blocker + Thinning Hair Serum .I have been taking them for about a year now, and I can say for sure that it did stop my hair from falling out (it stopped my hair from thinning anymore), and see some new hair growth. I found that within 10 days of starting on nu hair that even my "normal" shed decreased quite a bit.

Prior to starting on nu hair I could sweep out a very small 'nest' of shed hairs from my drain trap after each shower (daily). I estimate this nest to have contained approx. 25-50 hairs I would also lose an additional 10 +/- during comb-out.

But... in less than two weeks of being on nu hair... the 'nest' decreased to approx. 5-10 hairs in the shower trap per shower... and maybe two to three hairs during comb-out... and it has stayed this low ever since.

Very good results

Pissed

I like most of these people ordered a "free trial" of keranique,

I am most upset at the misleading infomercial, one month after my free trial I was charged 59.99 I called up the company which had horrible customer service and was told that because I didn't call to cancel the trial within the 30 day trial period my account will be charged 169.00 therefore they will be automatically taking money out of my account within the next 30 days. I offered to return the kit but the representatives said i will still be charged. Pissed off

It's obvious that you work for the company. You keep repeating yourself with the same lines.

However, do you use the product? Have you ever had to call customer service for this company? Have you placed an order with this company and never received it?? People work hard to make money and trust when a company says they will send you a product you have purchased?

Also yes it does say " risk free" not " free" but that means there is no risk to you the consumer. However the minute you order the product, they start charging you more money before the 30 day trial is up. Then not sending out the shipping labels on time playing the run around game so they can charge people's cards.

It's BS. No one in customer service cares about people anymore.

Guest

These company's are all a bunch of ***. It clearly states in the commercial that you will see and feel great results within 8 short days.

That's when it would become risk free. You would see positive results and then make your decision on the fact that you love the product. Also, these kind of companies never explain to you that they will be charging your credit card all kinds of additional fees. They just do it without your consent and then make it impossible to talk to anyone in customer service.

Then the people you do get are rude. Not good business.after all that's said and done, you end up having to cancel your card and still have o o find a new product. These companies are taking advantage of people that really need some help. They are unhappy with a problem they are having and trusting a company to help them.

Most people who have hair falling out are maybe a bit older get excited when they see a commercial that promises hair growth. I get that these sort of products take some time and patience but then the commercial should not say that you will see and feel results in 8 short days. Seriously, when you have 30 days to return a product, the company needs to be available for you to be able to do that and also be friendly and send the shipping labels before its too late to return the product. And that is exactly what the company is doing, stalling.

Please people, make sure to always do research on a company and product before purchase.

And do NOT read reviews on the companies actual website. Just type in reviews on whatever product it is and find reviews on their own.

Guest

I ordered the "free" Keranique products based on a TV ad I saw the latter part of Dec. 2011. I never received the "free" product..and now I've been charged twice (once for Jan 2012 & once for Feb 2012)....still I have no product...I have called customer service 800-672-**** and spoke with Tyler @ ext 724...and asked to stop billing me for NOTHING....he said he was taking care of this matter today.

Guest

It's not a free trial. It's a risk free trail and the terms and conditions are delivered on the initial call, in the invoice, and on the back of the product literature.

None of the Keranique offers say free trial.

A risk free trial means you can return the product to avoid being billed. No company is going to send you $160 worth of product for free.

Keranique a total rip off

I placed my order, they sent it, then they sent another automatically. I returned the second box because the first was not working. They still charged my bank account for the merchandise I returned. I disputed the charge with my bank. Who "investigated" the charge. Keranique claimed that I did not follow their procedures. I did not call them first. Now have no product and have been charged $159.00 for nothing. Thinking of taking them to small claims court. What a rip off. I really should have known better than to buy anything I see on TV . I agree a class action would be great.

I agree..they say free trial, but ant the remaining product back after a month..I cancelled my card and have not returned the rest of the products due to lack of time...they are sending me all kinds of letter as I would be a "deliquent" and that I'd be sued..SCAM!!!

Guest

The first thing you should know; the law isn't fair, and neither is small claims court. The second thing; Keranique has more money and access to better lawyers than you do.

Just call it a lesson learned and move on.

Keranique is basically Rogaine for women. It's marketed as the only anti hair loss product that is approved by the FDA. Really it's snake oil and does nothing.

The company does not hide the fact that results are not guaranteed. You agreed to a contract to purchase the product and take a chance to see if it works for you. You decided to not read the return information, or call the company about the return policy, and you just mailed it back to them. It's common knowledge that one would contact the company before returning defective merchandise. The purpose is to give the company a chance to set up the return in their system and some companies will even pay for the return postage by mailing a returns postage label at this time. By just mailing the product back without knowing the return agreement; you took another chance. Nobody can help you now. You failed. Move on.

Trying since Christmas to get the clowns at Keranique to send me a refund.

Returned the product before Christmas and I am still waiting for a refund. I called three times and three different people told me that a credit had been processed to my Mastercard Account. What does it take to get fair treatment? This is a mail order company called Keranique which claims it has a product that will regrow hair. I have my doubts about the prodcut and did not know it contained Rogaine. I had tried Rogaine before and all it did was take the color out of my hair. The ads do not tell you that the product contains Rogaine.

Keranique Free Trial is a gift form above!

I had a hair loss problem for sometime and I went offline and online to find something that can stop hair loss. I fortunately stumbled upon http://www.keraniquereviewsfreetrial.com. in that website I found enough information to motivate me to get that trial and I am so happy I did and I love to spread the word that Keranique hair solution really work. I know that some of us might say the free trial is not really free and yada yada ya. But if this is the case why wont mention that Keranique hair solution really work ? Very Rude person on the phone

I called to order Kerenique but I changed my mind when I heard the price. I also went on line and read very negative comments about the product and the company. The next day a rep from the company called my home to find out why I changed my mind. I told her and she kept trying to convince me to order. When I finally said Look I don't want it she hung up on me. No goodbye-have anice day or anything Just a click. She was very rude. I am glad I will not be doing business with this company.

I fell for the "free trial" from Keranique.

I am embarrassed at my age to have fallen for the Keranique "free" 30 day trial of their hair loss treatment products. I read some of the comments others have posted on this site about their experiences with the company and its products. I do not like the products and should have stayed with Avacor which I have used for several years and was working for me. Their products are also less expensive and are without the auto ship/charge mess. I have requested a label from Keranique via email to return the products (have not had them more than a week) and I received an email from them this morning saying I will receive an email with a return label this afternoon - so far I have not received that email which concerns me since it is one of the problems others have posted here.

Keranique Scam

I had a problem of thinning hair and tried every product from every superstore. But all to no avail. Most of the products my colleague and I got had a chemical base and contained nothing that could save my hair from harmful rays of the sun. When I heard about Keranique during a TV commercial, my response was, why not! So I just landed up at their website and booked myself a trial--- With two weeks of using this therapy, all I could hear were compliments on my hair.Saw an ad about Keranique while watching HBO movies this weekend. Nice infomercial on various products available in the Keranique system
