The website also does not make it clear that you will have to choose EITHER a Minoxidil treatment product or a follicle boosting serum AFTER you receive the trial products. The package came with very large (by my standards) bottles of shampoo and conditioner and a very small sample of each of the Minoxodil and the follicle serum. (The shampoo and conditioner would probably have lasted me about 6 months.) I immediately trashed the Minoxidil because I didn't want to even try using it after reading all the dire warnings. The sample of the serum was enough to use for about 10 days. The package included a post card that you have to mail in notifying them if you want them to send either more of the Minoxidil or more of the serum and a free mousse product. The card does not make it clear that the Minoxidil or the serum are NOT free at this point, it just leads you to think you will get enough free product to complete the 30-day trial.
I did get the mousse which I did not like. I called (thank goodness, within the 30-day trial period) to see where my "free" serum was. I was told they would ship it just as soon as I paid the $119.00 that was due on my account. I told the phone rep that I couldn't possibly owe anything at this time because I was still in the 30-day trial. She advised that the $119.00 would be due on day 31 and they would be charging my card on day 31 and sending my next shipment that would include the (not free) serum. I told her to cancel my account immediately, not to ship me any other products, and to notify me in writing that they have cancelled the account.
She then advised that they cannot cancel the account until after I return all the unused product at my expense. When I gathered all the product and the paperwork that came with it, I noticed that the statement says you have to call customer service and request a return number to send the product back. I immediately called the customer service number back and of course got a different rep. He stated no I did NOT need a return number, just sent the product back. I demanded that he give me a return number because of what the statement said". He laughed at me and told me "Okay, just use RMA# 123456" - obviously just a number that he made up and it was a big joke to him/.
I have returned all the product to them by trackable USPS service.. You can bet that if I see a charge on my account for another shipment or if more product shows up, there will be *** to pay!! I'm 99% sure they will find any and every missed detail (for example, the Minoxidil that I threw away) in order to continue to ship and/or charge me;.
Bottom line?? I didn't get to use the product long enough to make an intelligent decision about continuing to spend this very significant about of money;. I don't believe Keranique is an ethical, trustworthy business!. Their website only gives you enough information to make think you know what you are getting into and then there are all kinds of "gotcha's" waiting for you after you touch this big "tar baby"". I don't think their customer service is anything more than a bull-pen call center operation with scripts to work from!. I would not advise any one to do business with them. 127ad6b

Written by Grandma Gayle on February 5, 2012 from asheville, north carolina, US Well, on the other hand, I did return the unopened product within the 31 days...so was never charged for anything except the S/H fee. Was the phone number printed on your CC statement? Mine was a phone order. I had no problem when I called in November of last year. I decided to try my local beauty shop which offers a similar product...shop local. |
