I fell for an ad on TV for Keranique. They said I could have a "FREE trial" of hair regrowth product plus shampoo and conditioner. No mention was made of cost of the product, nor that there would be automatic shipping and billing thereafter.

When cost was mentioned, it was separated into 2 payments so consumer would not realize how expensive it really was. The hair regrowth product is Minoxidil. It is available over the counter at any WalMart, drugstore, Costco, etc". The other product was just shampoo and conditioner/. I was billed $168 for this!

I was also billed for 2 shipping charges, although the product was only shipped once.. I had to pay return postage to return unopened product that had been automatically shipped before I realized what was going on;.

When I called customer service to inquire about charges, I gave name, acct number, etc but did not get to explain my complaint before I was put on hold;. I was on hold for a LONG time and then phone just disconnected?.

This product can be had much cheaper at legit retailers,. It is not worth $170;. Their advertising and business practises are deceptive! 127ad13

I wish to add to the volume of consumers who have been cheated by this company. I sent back the product, unused, according to their instructions and never received a refund. This company is a thieving unethical company and every time I hear one of the radio ads, I wish something that could be done to lodge a class action suit to close them down. Look at the one who took the time to register a complaint? How many more didn't? It is the same as stealing from us thru misrepresentation and unethical business practices. I suppose, as word gets out and business drops off, they close down and re-open under another name.

The product is good, so far. The sales technique sucks hugely. That detracts from the product (if it's any good, don't know yet)IMO. If they were honest up front about the details and the price "before" entering your information, they wouldn't be getting the negative reviews. People that can't afford the price would then back off. They are so f**king sneaky that I got sucked/tricked into it and then felt I'd been ripped off. When I signed up I had no idea that what I got was $158 in two easy payments of $79 each. Then I get a phone call from them trying to sell me a coupon book for various restaurants and whatever, and they too wanted to automatically take $29ish out of my charge card automatically every month. That sent up a HUGE red flag and I then did some research. Wished I would have done that first.

NIOXIN is a very good and affordable product, just put about 30 birth control pills in the shampoo for faster results

These are all good posting. However, I don't hear a lot of people talking about the quality of the product, with the exception of one person. So my question is to all, does the product work?

sorry everybody. i hate selling the sh*t. even us reps are in the dark about all the details. they give us a script to read and we dont know how bad the details are until a fuming customer is cursing in our ears. we only do what they tell us and its a bunch of bull. im searching for a new job now because i refuse to continue to be a part of this. take it from me....dont buy into it. They should change the ad and make it cheaper first...but it does work at least.

Well I must say in the defence of Karanique, I had trhe same thing happen to me however if I had piad attention to the print, it does say that within 30 days if you do not like the product to return in 30 days for a full refund. Well I didn't do that and I was charged the full amount. I couldn't get mad because I didn't follow the directions. I kept the product and I'm happy to say it is working for me. My hair is getting thicker and longer. I do have a bald spot and doesn;t seem to be helping that area but for the most part I love it and really don't care how much it is because my hair growth is more imortant to me. Just make sure you return the product or call and cance before the 30 days are up and then you will not be billed.

Comments on Keranique misrepresented "FREE" trial, automatically shipped & billed for ridiculously priced goods.
